Sylvia E. Goff
Sylvia Edith Goff, 78, went to be with her Lord on July 9, 2014. She was born Sept. 30, 1935, in London, England. She lived in Fort Walton Beach for over 40 years.
At an early age, Sylvia was an ice skater with Holiday on Ice and traveled throughout England. She worked for Civil Service at Eglin AFB for over 20 years. While at Eglin, she directed the Air Force Tops in Blue talent contests for many years. She also was an award winning artist and choreographer for local theater.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Robert Horn and Elizabeth Alexandra Horn.
She is survived by her children, Kerry Goff and his wife, Linda Goff, of Brandon, Miss., and Darren Goff of Orlando Fla.; grandchildren, Sarah Goff McCrory and husband, Jared McCrory, missionaries to South Asia, T.J. Goff and his wife, Beth Goff, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Alexander Goff of Orlando; great-grandchildren, Karoline Goff, Anderson Goff, Ella McCrory and Lainey McCrory; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces living in England.
She had many supportive friends who loved her very much. Sylvia loved Jesus and spent much of her time helping others. She led many people to Christ and often took people into her home giving them shelter when they were in need.
There will be a memorial celebration for Sylvia at 4 p.m. July 19 at Destiny Worship Center, 122 Poinciana Blvd. in Miramar Beach. Her remains will at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
