FROM ACROSS THE BAR: Winter ... I saw goodbye in her eyes

But one thing will not change. We will all go to work, work hard, clock out and find a happy hour, easy or not.

We will brave the crowds and get mixed up in a season that we have missed.

It’s time for crawfish boils at Shades and sunset bells at Bud’s. We anticipate the jazz festivals, Friday art walks, and the family nights on the big screen. We look forward to catching pompano and chasing cobia.

We laugh, we smile, and we make lots of money… oh yeah, and we do complain — that goes without saying. But at the end of the day, we all are grateful that we are here.

We will all travel this beautiful 19-mile stretch day in and day out. Every now and then, we will make the hike off the “A” because we have to go to Target or crave some fast food. But one thing is for certain, we will always come back.

There is a special aura to our lives on 30A. We love to live, hurry up and wait, complain, party, and sometimes work. We will often work a little and this time of year, A LOT.

So to spring break I say:  BRING IT…
