LETTER: Beach dogs: Deal with it!

In reference to last week’s Walton Sun: I am really tired of the biased articles regarding dogs on our beaches. We only have a small window of time from sun up to 8 a.m. To the crabby woman whose complaints you keep printing in your rehashed article, the answer is simple, if you have an issue with dogs on the beach, whether leashed or not, stay off it until after 8 a.m.

I am a dog owner who is licensed and legally been walking my dog every morning for two years on the beach. I've seen it all from unpicked-up poop, to dogs loose with no collar, let alone a license, and not once have I seen an issue — not once.

The only issue, it seems to me, is the people who can't and aren't willing to either wait till 8 a.m., or just plain don't like animals, let alone dogs. Quit your crying, cowboy up, and deal with it. Simple as that.

I don't like the tourists leaving trash all over, and clogging up the roads, you don't see me crying and trying to change it. Deal with it.
