LETTER: We should help a hero

A Marine F-35B joint strike fighter lifts off from the runway during the first short take-off and vertical landing mission.

I just read about a double-amputee Marine who was completely humiliated on a Delta flight when he was clumsily pushed to the back of the plane in a wheelchair, knocking into seated passengers in the rows behind him.

My heart went out to him. The only search terms I used to find the story on Google were “double amputee Marine Delta.” Please read about him. It will break your heart.

I love this community for its kind and generous spirit. And I was wondering if it would be possible to give him and his mother, and his service caretaker, a trip to our beautiful beaches of South Walton, to help heal his battered soul.
