RON HART: Whites on Rice: senators grill ambassador

Published: Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 05:02 PM.

With CIA Director General Petraeus unable to keep a secret and going down in flames, and with Rice and other surrogates lying about the Benghazi attacks, the White House Situation Room has become the "Compromised Situation" Room.  Democrats have owned the White House since 2008 and gained seats in the Senate, which they have held since 2007; they are running out of Republicans to blame for everything.

Senators Lindsey Graham, John McCain and Kelly Ayotte are branded as racist and bigoted when they don’t blindly support Ambassador Rice’s nomination for Secretary of State. Of course, they were 100 percent behind the nomination of Hillary Clinton, who turned out to be a good Secretary of State, and they supported Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

To be fair, Hillary Clinton also lied for the president, saying it was a spontaneous attack on our consulate because of the video. She is too smart to have believed that, but history shows she will not admit a president lied until the DNA on the blue dress comes back and the facts can no longer be denied.

History will treat Hillary Clinton well. When it is an article of faith that she should have been president, her position is better than being president and screwing it up.

There are also indications that the White House will nominate Sen. John Kerry as Secretary of Defense. Kerry should wind surf through confirmation. It might be a new cold war-type defensive strategy to replace our drones with Kerry, who drones on excessively and will probably seek to bore our enemies into submission.

What we really need to focus on is the fiscal cliff and the economy, which is so messed up and full of lies that Obama may send Susan Rice on Sunday talk shows to defend it. She is a nice pairing with the Obama foul-up menu and will parrot the talking points given her.  As we know, Rice goes with anything.
