Editor’s Note: As part of the “100 Days of Summer,” The Sun will be spotlighting a different community in each edition. We begin the “Paradise Found” series with Miramar Beach. Stay tuned for Seascape next week.
If you want to do more on the beach this summer than just suntan, Ride On Surf School is for you. The school offers surfing-fun for the whole family at any skill level, and an experienced team of surf instructors to show you the way.
Dylan Sims, a 22 year old Billabong-sponsored surfer and Ride On instructor, says his favorite part of the job is seeing the customer’s reaction. “I love to see the stoke on people’s faces,” he said. “When they hit that first wave, they’re instantly hooked. It’s like they become instantly addicted to surfing.”
Ride On was Destin’s first surf school and continues to ride above the rest with its talented team of instructors.
“It’s our experience that sets us apart,” Dylan said. “We’ve all been surfing for years. We’ve traveled and competed all over the world. We love what we do.”
And you’ll love it too.
“You’ll have a smile on your face when you’re done,” Dylan promised.
Ride On Surf School offers group lessons, private lessons and rentals. Located directly on the beach at Capt. Dave’s restaurant, Ride On is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. seven days a week, weather permitting. You can find more information on their website www.rideonsurf.com.
