Trailing most of the game, Free Agents pulled off a last inning win over Tay Gray Unleashed 21-20 in the Coed Division I Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

At the end of two innings, Tay Gray was on top 9-8, but then Free Agents tied it up in the third at 9-9.

In the top of the fourth, Tay Gray pulled ahead with three runs with Free Agents only scoring one in the bottom half.

In the fifth, both teams scored five runs with Tay Gray still on top 17-15. In the six, Tay Gray scored one run but Free Agents took the lead in the bottom half with four runs.

In the top of the seventh, Tay Gray scored two for a 20-19 game. In the bottom half, Free Agents pulled it out with Cindy Laurendi knocking in the winning run.

Top batters for Free Agents were Bradon Patzig with a homer, three doubles and a single for five RBIs, and Nate Decker with three doubles and a single for three RBIs.

Leading Tay Gray was Josh Snyder with a home run, a double and three singles for three RBIs. Austin Jessup clobbered three home runs for six RBIs, Michael Haynes hit a home run, two singles and a double for five RBIs, and P.J. O’Connell tripled, doubled and hit two singles, and Taylor Gordon singled.

 

Crab Island Cantina 20, Beach Zone 5

Crab Island stepped out to a 7-1 lead in the first and then picked up three in the fourth. Crab Island put the game away in the bottom of the fifth with the 10-run rule.

Justin Abdo led Crab Island with two home runs and a single for six RBIs. Missy Santiago hit three singles, and Dustin Holt doubled and singled for three RBIs.

Jason Jamison was tops for Beach Zone with two singles for an RBI. Jane Blanken hit two singles and Brian Martinez doubled for two RBIs.

 

Heritage Tree Service 20, Stanley Security 18

At the end of three innings, Heritage led 8-6 and 13-7 by the end of five. In the last inning, which is not limited on how many runs a team can score, Heritage scored seven and Stanley came close with 11 runs.

Brad DesGranges doubled and hit two singles for four RBIs for Heritage. Evelyn Hardin doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs, and Jonathan Conteras hit three singles for three RBIs.

Kyle Detweller hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs for Stanley. Jane Purdy hit two singles for an RBI, and Lee Major doubled and singled.

 

Heritage Tree Service 18, Emerald Coast Chiropractic 7

At the end of five innings the game was tied at 6-6. Heritage pulled it out in the top of the sixth with eight runs and then picked up four more in the seventh.

Justin Nunley led Heritage with a homer and two singles for two RBIs. Emily Davis tripled, doubled and singled for three RBIs, and Tia Frembgen hit three singles for two RBIs.

Don Edwards connected for two triples and a single for two RBIs for Chiropractic. Beth Henry hit two singles and Geoff Brower doubled and singled for three RBIs.
