The South Walton Seahawks split on the gridiron in the opening weekend of action, while the Freeport Bulldogs secured one victory in the Panhandle Youth Football Association.
The South Walton Peewees beat Shalimar 14-7 and the South Walton Juniors posted a 14-9 victory over Shalimar.
The Seahawk Boomers lost to Shalimar, as did the South Walton Senior Seahawks, 28-0.
As for the Freeport Bulldogs, they came home with one win over the Panama City Beach Dolphins. The Peewee Bulldogs won 13-0. The Freeport Juniors lost 25-0, as did the Seniors 36-6. The Freeport Boomers also lost.
On the schedule for this Saturday, Sept. 1, South Walton will travel to Jackson County to take on the Predators. The Boomers play at 9 a.m., followed by the Peewees at 10 a.m. Up next are the Junior Seahawks at 11:30 a.m., followed by the Seniors at 1:30 p.m.
Freeport will travel to Crestview. Boomers will play at 10 a.m., Peewees at 12:30 p.m.; Juniors at 4 p.m.; and Seniors at 6 p.m.
