Poor play on the side of the South Walton Seahawks resulted in a 69-43 loss to the Holmes County Blue Devils in the Class 1A Regional Semifinals Tuesday night in Bonifay.

Holmes County advances to the Regional Finals to take on the Chipley Tigers. The winner gets a ticket to the Final Four.

On Tuesday, the Seahawks struggled on the floor.

"It was a capsule of our entire season," said South Walton Coach Kevin Craig. "We had poor ball handling, poor decision making and a lot of missed layups."

The Seahawks hung with the Blue Devils in the first quarter, only trailing 8-5 at the buzzer.

Even at the start of the second, South Walton closed it down to a two-point game in the first minute, but then Holmes County started launching away. Lenibel Concepcion drained back-to-back 3-pointers followed by a fast-break layup by Cierra Davis. Hannah Prescott finished up the run with a shot from underneath and a free throw for a 20-7 Blue Devil lead.

South Walton answered with a basket from Casey Perot, who led the team with 11 points and a free throw from her sister Mackenzie. Mackenzie finished up the night with nine points.
