Lady basketballers vanquish Vikings for first time

The fourth quarter belonged to the Seahawks. Mackenzie Perot and Trejo hit back-to-back baskets to start. Fort Walton's Katie O'Neal scored two, then South Walton answered with six points. Trejo scored a basket, then Heffron drew a foul and hit both shots. Thirty seconds later, Trejo was at the line for two and a 42-34 lead. For the period, South Walton put up 26 points, with 14 coming from line, to Fort Walton's 14 total points.

For the game, South Walton was led by Trejo with 18 points. Menard scored 12 and Heffron 11. Kennedy scored seven, Mackenzie Perot five, Casey Perot four; and Katie Logan one.

Claybrone led the Vikings with 15 points, followed by Deanndra McLane and O'Neal with nine each.

The Seahawks were 26 of  36 from the free-throw line, while Fort Walton made 10 of 12 tries.
