Grayton Beach Fitness offers new Pilates class

Paul Hunter, owner of Grayton Beach Fitness, is offering a new Pilates class taught by veteran Pilates instructor, Caroline Higgins, every Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
Higgins integrates Pilates exercise principles such as: centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow into her mat classes, which help clients quickly gain strength and confidence resulting in improved posture and mobility. Each exercise is adaptable to any fitness level with options for increased difficulty, and careful attention is paid to each student’s form and ability.
A native of Louisiana, Higgins moved to Northwest Florida from Washington, D.C., to be closer to her family. Her passion for Pilates started after sitting long hours at a desk practicing law. “I wanted an efficient and effective workout that I could fit into my hectic schedule – one that would allow me to get more bang for my buck! Pilates produced immediate results for me,” she said.
Higgins is now a Joseph Pilates certified instructor with more than 600 instructional/intern hours.
Grayton Beach Fitness is a fully equipped fitness facility with 24-hour access available, located in the Mystic Porte Shopping Center at 38 Clayton Lane, Grayton Beach.
