Hole in one hit at Santa Rosa Beach Club

The Walton Sun

Tony Chandler has been playing golf for 25 years. He got the thrill of his golfing lifetime, however, on May 31 when he scored a hole in one at Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club's 16th hole.

Chandler was playing with Brad O'Brien, who witnessed the 112-yard shot.

"The sun was in our eyes and we couldn't see where the ball went but we heard it hit the pole," said Chandler. "We eased up to the pole and peeped in and couldn't believe it. That was my first hole in one."

SRG&BC golf pro Wade Hamilton presented Chandler with a commemorative plaque on Aug. 26 at the pro shop. The plaque featured a picture of the 16th hole.

Chandler and O'Brien are Realtors with 30A Realty.
