Standout Spotlight - Casey Perot from Seahawk to a Cardinal

Perot has already been up to check out the program and the campus and loved it.

"It's a fun environment in a small town and it makes me feel at home," Perot said.

"I've already felt comfortable with the team … like I'm already on the team," she said.

Perot, who hit a double-double most every game this season, hopes to take the position of a sophomore forward who is leaving Gadsden to go to a university.

"Hopefully I can help in that area," said the 6-foot-1 Perot. "She was a great girl and I hope I can fill in."

Perot will be leaving for north Alabama in July.

"I'm beyond excited. I've already got my dorm décor. It's going to be beachy … beachy shower curtain, beachy bedspread. It's going to feel like home," she said.
