Lester J Regier

Lester J Regier, 70, passed away at his home on Feb. 18, 2013, in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

Les was born Nov. 2, 1942, in Aurora, Neb., to Henry and Minnie (Epp) Regier. He graduated from Grand Island High School, Universal Technical Institute-Omaha, and attended University of Nebraska. He held First and Third Grade Stationary Engineer Certificates-Omaha. Les worked many years at Control Data Corp. in Omaha and retired in 2001 from Southroads Mall facility and moved to Destin, Fla.

He served in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam veteran.

Les is survived by wife, Jeanna Littlefield Regier, of the home. In young years, Les lived with and is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Lela "Lee" and Ross Kaiser of Omaha, and family, Mike, Patty (Mark), Kenny (DeeDee) and Sharie (Bill).

Other survivors are brother and sister-in-law, Lou and Linda Regier of Atkins, Ark.; half-brothers, Lamoyne (Paula) and Danny (Kathy) Danhauer of Aurora and York, Neb.; other nieces and nephews, Teri (Joey) and Rusty Regier and John and Jeff Tebbetts.

Les is survived by step-daughter, Donna Swain (Prentice) Tedeton of Calhoun, La.; grandchildren, Amanda and Daniel (Melissa) Tedeton of Louisiana, and Kayla Swain and Robert G. Swain II of Omaha; and great-grandchildren, Jeanna and Kayleigh Tedeton and DonnaJan and Joseph Tedeton.

Les was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lorna Tebbetts of Longmont, Colo.; and step-son, Robert G. Swain of Omaha.

Graveside service and interment will be held in Fletcher, Okla., on May 28. In July 2013, a special memorial will be held in Destin on the white sandy beach where Les walked many miles and spent hours in the sun beside the Emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
