Claire B. Boivin

Claire B. Boivin, 83, passed away May 19, 2013. She was born on Jan. 3, 1930, in Plymouth Mass. She was a graduate from Plymouth High School. As a long time residence of Plymouth, she worked as a US postal worker for more than 30 years and Sears for 20 years. She was a member of the Sweet Adeline's, active member of Plymouth Council of Aging, and encouraged children to complete their education.

Claire will be remembered for her singing, special dancing, her humor and her love for children.

She is survived by her beloved and devoted daughter, Kathleen Boivin of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla; sons, Richard Boivin of Wyckoff, N.J., and Robert Boivin of Plymouth; sisters, Edith Fontaine-Enos, Geneva Schneider; brothers, Donald Fantoni, Ronald Fantoni, and Wilbert Fantoni; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private memorial services will be held in Plymouth at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Claire Boivin Scholarship c/o Parker Smith P.A, 1219 Airport Road, Ste 31, Destin, FL 32541. The scholarship program will be made available for the staff of Superior Residences of Niceville Memory Care to continue their medical training.

Don Robert Messer

Don Robert Messer, 57, of Freeport, Fla., passed away May 20, 2013. He was born March 24, 1956, in DeFuniak Springs, Fla. Don had a heart full of the love of God and was loved by all who knew him. He was described by many as a "real" man; what you saw is what you got. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Edna McCormick Messer, and brother, Leon Edward Messer.

Don is survived by his precious father, Robert Messer; loving wife, Phyliss Messer; five children, Stone Messer and wife, Stephanie, Robby Messer and wife, Elizabeth, Teasa Albee and husband, Denny, Nikki Rutherford and husband, J.D., and Brandon Messer; sisters, Letha Miles and husband, Rabbit, and Sue Whithey; brothers, Lynn Messer and Bryan Whithey; grandchildren, Jessie Messer, Londyn and Vivienne Albee, Parker Rutherford, Julia and Kyrra Garica-Hernandez, and Gloria and Bianca Vanegas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. May 23 at Heritage Church in Freeport.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. May 24 at Heritage Church with the Rev. Ron Thames and the Rev. John Richbourg officiating. Committal services will follow at Hatcher Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Stone, Robby, Brandon, Jonathan, and Mickey Messer, and Denny Albee. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Sapp and Michael Lynn Messer.

Flowers are being accepted.
