Leon “Jack” Franklin Sulfridge

Mr. Leon “Jack” Franklin Sulfridge, 91, passed away May 29, 2013.  He was born May 12, 1922, in Ewing, Va., to William Robert Sulfridge and Addie Lee Ramsey Sulfridge.

Mr. Sulfridge was a resident of Santa Rosa Beach and was Protestant by faith. He worked in the container industry in maintenance for many years. He was a veteran of World War II serving his country in the U.S. Army Infantry. He was known as Jack the “Bike Man” in the Santa Rosa Beach community for his bicycle recycling business.  

Mr. Sulfridge is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 46 years, Norma Jean Sulfridge; son, Gary Sulfridge; brothers, James, Ray, Buddy, Stanley Cleveland; and sisters, Betty Riley and Jessie Rose.

Mr. Sulfridge is survived by sisters, Billie Sue Hubble of Ewing, Va., and Delia Gulley of Middleburg, Ky.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
