Backyard Boogie for the Arts

Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast and the Forrest Williams Band present “Backyard Boogie for the Arts” at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at Williams Backyard Boogie, 1921 Chat Holly Road in Santa Rosa Beach. Proceeds from the event will benefit Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast’s Arts in Medicine program.

Explore the Outdoors Festival

The annual Explore the Outdoors Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Live Oak Landing Outdoor Destination, 229 Pitts Ave., in Freeport. Geared toward introducing children to the wonders of exploring the outdoors, the event includes fishing, boating, kayaking, and animal encounters. Hands on nature-based activities will engage the attendees in learning. The first 180 children interested in learning to fish will receive a free rod/reel combo from Fish Florida. So come join in, it’s going to be a great day exploring the outdoors. The water activities are for children six-years-old and up. The event is $1.

Nature walk
