With the Labor Day weekend right around the corner, it's time to celebrate creativity at The Village of Baytowne Wharf's annual Art Walk.
"There really is something for everyone, at a variety of interests and price points," said Lanier Motes, events manager at Baytowne Wharf. "We have folk art, jewelry, coastal themed art, handmade signs, fine art, picture frames, and the list goes on."
The Art Walk will feature 40 regional and local artists, including Blue Heron Designs, Whimsical Signs, Justin Lyons Art, Yellowfin Gallery, Linda Kernick, and Adorn Jewelry by Samouce, just to name a few.
And part of what makes this tradition unique is the fact that it's held under the twilight of the moon, so one can spend the day at the beach and stroll the streets of Baytowne at night, while listening to live music from local favorites Chris Alvarado, Reed Waddle and Continuum.
"When all of the artists light up their tents, it's really beautiful," Motes said. "It's just lovely to listen to music, visit the Baytowne merchants and experience these artists."
This free event will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday night (Aug. 30 - Sept. 1) from 5-10 p.m.
So come on out and experience everything that Baytowne and the local arts scene has to offer.
"It's just great to have not only regional artists but also to wander around and see the phenomenal creative talent that exists within Northwest Florida," Motes said.
