Coastal Holiday Market

Local artists, artisans, gift vendors, and crafters are needed for the third annual Coastal Holiday Market to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at St. Rita Church in Santa Rosa Beach. Walton County engineer named president of FACERS

Walton County Engineer Ryan Douglass was recently named the president of The Florida Association of County Engineers and Road Superintendents (FACERS).

FACERS monitors and offers opinions on related state and national legislation affecting transportation and public works, contributes to the development and/or revision of statewide standard specifications and guideline documents, provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, technical information and best practices and offers opinions on related local, state and national legislation to assure every community of the best possible engineering available.

“This is a wonderful opportunity and honor for Douglass to lead a statewide organization that is dedicated to public works,” said Walton County Public Works Director, Wilmer Stafford.  “He is not only a great engineer, but will be a wonderful representative for the County.”

Kris Wambach new food and beverage director for SunQuest Cruises

SunQuest Cruises recently announced the appointment of Kris Wambach as their new food and beverage director.

Wambach has worked in the hospitality industry throughout his career, including being the general manager of Shalimar Pointe Country Club and then on to Legendary, Inc. as general manager of Harry T’s and Rutherfords 465.

“We’re delighted to have Kris on our professional team,” said SunQuest Cruises’ General Manager James Murray. “The addition of a food and beverage director with Kris’ experience, as well as his capabilities as a chef, will enable us to enhance our guest experience in new and creative ways with service, new culinary dishes, increased wine and beer selections, and specialty dinner cruises.”
