Isn't it great when hurricane season is nearing its end and all we have to show for it is Karen? Granted, all the food outlets probably did great in our anticipation of Karen's arrival last weekend, but I think everyone is delighted with her no show.

Last Saturday was a beautiful day for the beach and pool, and the rain we got on Sunday just made for a nice, cozy, lazy TV day.

Before the rain I saw Joe and Kathy Perry, John Stasko, and Lorene Gruzdis enjoying some outdoor time. On Sunday, it was baseball and old movies.

Jane and Greg Bahr, Zach Billingsley, Patti Johnson, Mary Florence Forsythe, Linda Miller, Shaye Smith, Sherry Cox, Hannah Billingsley, Dave and Carol Rauschkolb, Leah Stroble and Willie Mason, and Lauren Magli were some of those who enjoyed the ninth-annual Hurricane Party which was held at Bud 'n Alley's to benefit the Children's Volunteer Health Network Sept. 27.

Congratulations to Sandy Weiner who just ran 4.190 Charity Miles to help the Wounded Warrior Project support our veterans.
