The Annual Oil Painters of America Paint Out in Florida will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at Grayton Beach State Park in Grayton Beach. Every one is invited to bring their art materials and enjoy a morning of painting pristine beaches, dunes, lakes, gulf coast, and wildlife. Close to the park is town where you can paint the quaint, colorful old beach cottages.

Meet at 9 a.m. at the State Park entrance, 357 Main Park Road, and sign in. There is a $4 fee per car for park entrance. Afterwards, we will meet at 12:30 p.m. for lunch and painting critique at Nick’s On the Beach, 2210 West County Road 30A in Blue Mountain Beach, five minutes away.

Please also bring sunscreen, water, insect repellant and a hat.

Oil Painters of America is a not-for-profit organization representing more than 4,000 artists throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Its primary focus is to draw attention to the lasting value of fine drawing, color, composition and the appreciation of light.
