Lola's on 30A is the new kid on the block, offering consignment and more.

Lydia Smith opened Lola's Dec. 27 in the former location of Bea's Interiors and is already seeing brisk business.

Named for her Whoodle puppy a Wheaton Terrier and poodle mix with long eyelashes that comes to work with her every day, Lola also serves as the shop's official greeter.

In Lola's, Smith offers higher-end chic individual consignments, and rents booths to 12 vendors.

"This allows me to offer some of the best items in the area," said Smith. "A lot of my vendors are designers and have higher-end things, and they know what is in vogue."

Shoppers can expect to find a variety of upscale, gently-used or new sofas, dining tables and sets, home decor accent pieces and furnishings, artwork, jewelry, and even a line of new linen clothing, all with a beachy, coastal feel.

The 6,300-square-foot of space includes a warehouse and Smith said she plans to do warehouse sales once a month to clear merchandise once her inventory gets larger.

"It's a great space and I have some pretty things," she said. "The store has an open feel with lots of light, and it has a clean, coastal feel. I am so glad to be on 30A. People who live on 30A want to stay on 30A and this store is geared towards them."

Located across from Goatfeather's, Lola's on 30A is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
