A once in a 100 year celebration is coming soon.

Gulf Cemetery President Bill Freeze and the board of directors have announced that the Memorial Day celebrations (May 26) will be over the top this year.

The fly-over by the “War Birds” in  vintage World War II aircraft will also take place along with noted speakers and finally with “taps” for the servicemen and women buried within the grounds. Special decorations will greet visitors along and metal lapel pins will be presented.

The big event will be the unveiling of the state designated metal road plaque signifying that the cemetery is a valued 100-year old historical site for the State of Florida. This presentation will be made by state officials from the state capital in Tallahassee. For further information and to volunteer for the special day call 1-850-267-8418.
