Prudential PenFed Realty is a local residential and commercial real estate company, with offices on Hwy 30A in south Walton County and in Niceville, serving the entire Okaloosa and Walton County Areas. In March of this year, these local offices were honored at the Prudential Real Estate National Convention in Nashville, Tenn. by recognizing the performance of more than 25 percent of the local agents in these offices.

"It was such a great honor to be recognized at our national convention with so many awards,” says Royce Mitchell, broker of the company. "When you realize that we are competing with Realtors from offices throughout the nation, it is overwhelming that we have so many agents in our local offices that meet the high standards set by Prudential. To know that our agents and our offices are held in such high regard on a national level is rewarding for our agents and our clients."

Brad Smith was awarded the prestigious Chairman's Circle Award for the sixth consecutive year.

“The Chairman's Circle recognizes those agents in the top 2 percent in the nation and having received this award for six years is a testament to Brad's professionalism and dedication to his business," said Mitchell.

Smith, originally from Bright, Ind., is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Business. He relocated to the Emerald Coast in 1987 to sell real estate. His extensive experience and knowledge of this area coupled with his comprehensive and advanced modern marketing strategies make him an incredible asset to not only the company, but to his customers.

Mitchell himself is the recipient of the Chairman’s Circle Gold award. Originally from Mississippi, Royce spent his entire life vacationing along the Emerald Coast and always knew that this is where he would call home.

He holds his Bachelors of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University, and his Master of Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama. After a long and successful career as the owner of a national special events company in Louisiana, Mitchell sold the company and relocated to Santa Rosa Beach in 2011 to devote all of his efforts to his true passion — real estate.

Having sold properties in the area for more than 14 years, Mitchell is no stranger to local real estate. He became the managing broker of the 30A/Destin branch in 2012 and recently oversaw the expansion into Niceville with a new office that opened in January.  Not only does he hold his broker’s license in Florida, but he is also a licensed broker in Louisiana.

Also receiving the Chairman's Circle Award is Cathy Alley, who specializes in residential and small commercial properties in Niceville. Cathy is an elite race walker and values performance standards. She understands the dedication and attention to detail that is required to be successful, and transitions those learned skills into her business.

"Cathy has been an integral part of our rapidly growing business in Niceville and is a true professional with a proven track record in servicing her clients with the highest standard of service and professionalism," said Mitchell.

Julie Dorathy and William Flynn were awarded the coveted President’s Circle Award which recognizes the top 5 percent of all Prudential Real Estate Agents in the nation. Julie had worked in real estate in Illinois as well as Florida, and now calls 30A home after stumbling upon the area traveling from the Fort Walton Beach Airport on her way to St. George Island. After her initial visit to the area, her next vacation was to South Walton, and “the rest is history,” she will tell you. William Flynn has had a special interest in real estate since an early age, and once he was able to sell his Atlanta based service-oriented business, he was able to move to the coast and focus on his passion of real estate.

"William Flynn and Julie Dorathy exemplify the high standards and qualities that clients expect from their real estate agent," says Mitchell. “They each have a proven track record and are deserving of this national recognition. Both William and Julie are consistently at the top tier of real estate agents along the Emerald Coast.”

Honor Society Awards are reserved for the top 15 percent of Prudential agents nationally. Prudential PenFed has two agents that have earned a place in this distinguished society, Chris Sause and Maryjo Morris. Maryjo has her B.S. in Construction Management from Louisiana State University and, after 15 years in the commercial construction industry, she decided to focus on real estate.

Maryjo prides her long-term success on providing top quality service for her clients. Having recently completed her GRI certification, Maryjo continues to strive to provide the highest standards of service to her long list of satisfied clients.

Chris Sause has his B.S. in Business Administration from John Carroll University and spent the first 10 years of his career in the financial industry. Chris uses his financial experience to provide both buyer and seller with an all encompassing approach to the real estate transaction process.  Chris holds or has held a number of mortgage and financial advisory licenses.

"By awarding Chris and Maryjo with these individual awards, Prudential recognizes their dedication to their profession and acknowledges their commitment to their clients. They are both outstanding agents who utilize their individual backgrounds in related past professions to benefit their clients," said Mitchell.

"Having our company recognized on a national level confirms my belief that we have the best agents in the area and are committed to provide the absolute highest standard of service to our clients," said Mitchell. We have experienced tremendous growth over the past year and that is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of all of our agents and support staff.”

As a whole, 25 percent of Prudential PenFed’s agents carry national recognition. This is a true accomplishment, not only for each individual, but for the company as a whole.
