PANAMA CITY — The Junior League of Panama City’s 30th annual Holly Fair is back in full swing this weekend — with holiday shopping Friday through Sunday.

“The women of the Panama City Junior League are overjoyed to again offer an opportunity for a fun, unique shopping experience. More important, our community’s participation provides the funding needed to support our many projects throughout the year,” stated Nikki Childree, Holly Fair committee chair.

Friday’s Champagne Brunch 8-10 a.m. — with live entertainment by woods the band — is followed by all-day shopping 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort, 11212 Front Beach Road.

Shopping turns into a festive experience with local groups spreading holiday cheer by dancing and singing on stage — surrounded by Christmas trees and gift-wrapped boxes — throughout the weekend. And children won’t mind tagging along for a chance to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, not to mention ice cream sundaes with Jolly Old St. Nick himself 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.

“Come make an ice cream sundae, write letters to Santa, get reindeer food and take a picture with Santa,” Childree said.

Sundaes with Santa is $10 per child, but their admission to Holly Fair is free.

Nearly 70 local and regional merchants will be showcased boutique-style at booths, where they will display their offerings — from clothes, jewelry and makeup to home decor, holiday decorations and food.

Shader Jewelry and Gifts will showcase artist designed crystal, sterling silver and fashion jewelry, while Dazzle Wear adds sparkle with bling T-shirts, custom Swarovski jewelry and children’s clothing. Stop by the Plum Delightful booth to see a selection of the shop’s unique clothing, gifts and jewelry — including Sorrelli. Eva & Quinn, formerly BOT Boutique, also will be at Holly Fair with clothing and accessories.

Aubrey & Oliver will have everything from rustic hand-painted signs to lightweight cardigans perfect for layering in Florida weather.

What goes on your skin will be one less thing to worry about with “clean beauty” products from Beautycounter. And handcrafted soaps and lotion bars from merchant Truth Soap Co. are free of sulfates, detergents, synthetics, artificial fragrances or colorants, petroleum, phthalates and GMOs.

Bayou on the Beach will be set up with gifts and goodies from its Steamers & Mercantile shop — from festive glasses and napkins to ornaments, candles, Who Dat Sauce and seasonings. Miss Ginny’s English Toffee is crafted in small batches. Or stop by Emerald Coast Olive Oil to pick up a bottle for yourself and a friend and leave inspired to try healthy new recipes.
