The Henderson, a Salamander Resort, will host several holiday events throughout December, from Santa’s Arrival to a Winter Wellness Workshop.

The Henderson kicked off it’s holiday season with the annual Santa’s Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday on the Grand Piazza, adjacent to the resort’s main entrance. Local carolers from the Village Baptist Church performed along with the C.W. Ruckel Middle School Ambassadors.

The Henderson will continue the celebration with holiday events every Saturday in December. On Dec. 7, join the resort team from 6-8 p.m. for the Gingerbread House Unveiling. Kids will enjoy photos with Santa, Christmas cookies, and hot cocoa before the grand reveal of this year’s gingerbread house, hand-crafted by the resort’s talented pastry chef.

A Winter Wellness Workshop will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 14. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite tacky Christmas sweater to enjoy a complimentary Pure Barre fitness class, various hand treatments, chair massages, shopping, and gift wrapping provided by the resort’s own Salamander Spa.

On Dec. 21, families are welcome to Primrose, the Henderson’s signature restaurant, for an exclusive breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. Guests are welcome to meet and greet with Santa before feasting on a gourmet breakfast crafted by the resort’s Executive Chef, Gary Palm. Kids will have the opportunity to sit with Santa and tell him what they would like to see under the tree just days before the big day. The price of the brunch is $12 for kids and $29 for adults.
