Destin Commons Mardi Gras Parade
Enjoy an evening of Mardi Gras fun at Destin Commons from 6-8 p.m. as floats and people on parade march throughout the Center. Treasures, trinkets and beads will be plentiful throughout the celebration. The New Orleans Ramblers will provide entertainment, and kids can create their very own festive Mardi Gras accessories and face painting. Parade starts at 7 p.m.
Job Fair: Alys Beach will host a hospitality job fair for those interested in food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance positions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 5 and 6 at Fonville Press, 147 West La Garza Lane in Alys Beach. Call 213-5606.
Almost, Maine: The Emerald Coast Theatre Company will perform the popular romantic comedy “Almost, Maine” Feb. 5-7, 12-14, 19-21, and 26-28 at The Market Shops, 9375 Emerald Coast Parkway on the corner of Sandestin Boulevard. Mardi Gras Party: Local Catch Bar & Grill, 3711 W County Hwy. 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, will host its third annual Mardi Gras Party with KreWe oF R0cK at 8:30 p.m. Cadillac Willy will perform.
8th Annual Mardi Gras Parade
Roll, float, pedal or push your Krewe, business, family and friends to experience Destin’s biggest Mardi Gras parade on the Destin harbor at 2 p.m. See dazzling floats, colorful costumes, street performers, live entertainment and more as the parade rolls through HarborWalk Village. Proceeds from entry fees and donations will benefit Food For Thought.
Christian concert: Hope Lutheran Church will host a free concert with Christian singer/songwriter Don Wharton at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at 3834 U.S. Hwy. 98 in Santa Rosa Beach. He will also be the guest worship leader at both services on Sunday, Feb. 7 — beach worship service at 8 a.m. at Ed Walline Park and 10:15 a.m. service at the church. Call 267-0322.
St. Agatha’s Breakfast: Breakfast Cooked to Order will be held from 7-11 a.m. in the Parish Hall at St. Agatha’s Episcopal Church, 150 Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs. Cost is $7.25/adults and $4/children under 10. Take-out available. Proceeds benefit the church and its food ministry. The historic church will be open for tours.
Americana Music Concert: The free Americana Music Concert series presents Lucky Mud from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Lodge at Camp Helen State Park.

Seaside Mardi Gras Celebration: At noon, join SoWal kids for face painting, balloon animals, and fun. Then join in the Mardi Gras Parade all around town featuring the Village Brass Band at 2 p.m. After the parade, find your spot in the Seaside Amphitheater and get ready for a special performance by Donnie Sundal starting at 2:30 p.m.
Snowbird Sunday Concert Series: The Market Shops at the entrance to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort presents the free Snowbird Sunday Concert Series with Michael J Thomas from 1-3 p.m. on the lawn. Bring chairs and blankets. In the event of rainy weather, the concert will be relocated to the covered patio outside of Bijoux at The Market Shops.
Mardi Gras Dog Parade: The 13th Annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade will be held at 2 p.m. at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. This year's theme is Bark n' Roll. Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday Parade: Let the good times roll with the 14th Annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade as it rolls through Sandestin at 5 p.m. at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Unique and colorful floats, golf carts, and pick-up trucks roll down the streets and marchers dressed up in all their Mardi Gras best shower parade-goers with a barrage of beads, moon pies, and other trinkets.

Vertical gardening lecture: Visit the Walton County Extension Office, 732 N 9th Street in DeFuniak Springs, from 2-3 p.m. to learn more vertical gardening from Master Gardener Laura Sell.
