Furniture South has recognized Becky Wetzler as its Designer of the Year for 2016.

“We are proud of the amazing team we have put together to serve our customers," said Frank Kovach, owner of Furniture South. "It is a group with incredible talent. Becky has the highest production and customer satisfaction, and this has enabled her to receive this honor."

Wetzler has an extensive background in interior design and sales, and over the past three years has done design work in Colorado and Florida, adapting and developing her design skill set along the way. She studied interior design at Bellevue College and also has a degree in graphic design from Principia College, which she uses to help convey her design ideas digitally for clients. She loves working with owners to transform their homes into beautiful and functional spaces. Whether it's selecting a few new pieces of furniture or art, or designing a complete remodel of the home, Wetzler enjoys all aspects of the design process and is passionate about her work. Most of all, she is very dedicated to her clients and customer satisfaction.

Furniture South has grown rapidly and is embarking on doubling its display and warehouse space by the end of the year. The company has processed more than 3,000 customers with more than a 95 percent approval rating.

“The dynamic growth of South Walton, with building permits for new homes soaring, is propelling the growth of Furniture South," said Kovach. "We plan to display over 5,000 items in the new showroom and offer 30 to 50 percent off all merchandise in an expanded format. We have a trained staff of 10 professionals, which will expand to 20 by the end of 2017, and look forward to continued growth in South Walton County."

The Santa Rosa Beach business also has an extensive website (www.furnituresouth.net) and a new touch-screen design center where clients can research the styles and secure pictures and pricing on over 100,000 items, from 60 different manufacturers.
