DEFUNIAK SPRINGS – A 55-year-old man was arrested after his disabled wife called the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Her husband, who is her caretaker, came home angry and broke her hospital tray, she told deputies. He then grabbed her around her neck and pulled her head toward him.
She slapped his hand away, according to his WCSO arrest report.
While the deputy was there, she told him that her husband had been growing marijuana and gave him written permission to search their home.
She also told them where the plants were in the back yard. The deputy said that they followed foot tracks right to the plants.
She told deputies that her husband had a glass pipe and pointed out its location, as well.
While searching the house, they found a box of ammo, which, as a convicted felon, he is not allowed to have.
He faces charges of felony domestic battery, marijuana production and possessing ammunition as a convicted felon.
