DEFUNIAK SPRINGS – Deputies investigating a Sept. 30 traffic crash discovered that one of the drivers, a 25-year-old DeFuniak Springs man, had been drinking.
They found empty containers of alcohol in his car and he smelled strongly of alcohol, according to his Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
He stumbled when he tried to walk and couldn’t find his documents inside of his vehicle, the deputy noted.
When they tested him for sobriety, he couldn’t stand on one leg.
He also had a bag of marijuana in his pocket.
He was charged with DUI involving property damage and marijuana possession.
