SANTA ROSA BEACH —A 31-year-old man was arrested for beating his sister, mother and grandmother after they caught him “fornicating” in the front yard with his girlfriend.
According to the man’s arrest report from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, on Nov. 27 deputies were called to a home in reference to a domestic disturbance. Three victims – the man’s sister, mother and grandmother – told deputies the man got into an argument with his mother after she caught him “fornicating” in the front yard with his girlfriend. After being caught, the man wanted to enter the house with his girlfriend, but his mother denied them entry.
The girlfriend left the premises. Afterwards, the man began attacking his sister. Both the mother and grandmother attempted to intervene. While intervening, the grandmother was struck under her left eye with a cane, and the mother was pushed down to the ground.
The mother complained of trouble breathing and the grandmother had swelling and a laceration under her eye.
The sister was struck on top of the head with a closed fist and was experiencing tenderness in the area. She said her brother grabbed her around her neck and choked her. She said he also stole her phone as she was trying to call 911.
The man was charged with domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery on a person 65 years of age or older, battery touch or strike and tampering with evidence.
