The Walton County Master Gardeners will award a $2,000 scholarship to a Walton County or Holmes County resident who will attend college or technical school to study the agricultural sciences.

Specific areas of interest may include horticulture, landscaping, nursery/garden center management, forestry, agriculture, grounds/turf management, parks, environmental science, natural resource conservation or other related fields.

The award will be paid jointly to the student and the school. A minimum of a 2.5 GPA, strong extracurricular activity and commitment to a career in the agricultural sciences are considerations when awarding the scholarship.
