Good News United Methodist

Venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive on God’s word and are anchored in the truth that Jesus carries them through life's storms during Shipwrecked VBS June 25-28 at Good News United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa Beach.

It will be for students who have completed grades PreK4 through third. Older students may volunteer with a parent or adult sponsor.

Kids travel through field-tested rotations that reinforce relevant Bible points and immerse them in new adventures. A day at Shipwrecked includes Bible Discovery, KidVid Cinema, Imagination Station, Tropical Treats, Ship Rec Games and more.

One of the best parts of Shipwrecked VBS is the award-winning music. Kids will want to listen to fun songs, like Soon and Very Soon, A Million Reasons, Eye of the Storm, Rescue Me, I Am and more, over and over again.

Early bird pricing is $20/child. Regular pricing is $25 beginning May 15. This fee covers their snacks and a T-shirt. If you are unable to pay the registration fee, scholarships are available. Please contact the kids minister at 850-622-9191, ext 308, for more information, or register at

Hope on the Beach

Hope on the Beach in Santa Rosa Beach will hold a free vacation Bible school, AMPED, from 9 a.m. to noon June 25-29 for ages 3 (must be potty trained) to fifth grade. Through crafts, games, lessons, music, and fun, kids will get AMPED up for life as they discover what it means to live fully alive.

Some of the Bible content includes the life of Joseph, live like you know God is with you; the life of Esther, live like God has a plan for you; the life of Jesus, live like Jesus is alive; and the life of Paul, live like you’re part of a bigger story.
