Several cars were also burglarized off Dogwood Street in Seagrove Beach. All vehicles were left unsecured, and a handgun was the items stolen, the release said.
Surveillance video was pulled from a business at Seaside that revealed three juveniles, one boy and two girls, walking in the area. One of the girls was carrying a hatchet that investigators believe was used in the burglary of the two businesses.
The suspects were identified as students at South Walton High School and brought in for questioning. All three admitted to burglarizing the businesses. the release said.
The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the students’ names because of their lack of a criminal record and cooperation. The investigation is ongoing.
