One fugitive is behind bars but Walton County Sheriff’s Office investigators are still seeking a second suspect who allegedly broke into a Freeport woman’s home on Thursday.

Austin Deloach was taken into custody Saturday by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and will be sent back to Walton County for his role in the break-in.

Still being sought is Crystal Sue Esquibel, 33, a white female about 5 feet, 1 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. She might be driving a light-colored, four-door, older model sedan with a missing rear bumper.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call about 5:34 a.m. Thursday about an armed burglary on Redfish Road in Freeport. The caller said two people, later ID’d as Deloach and Esquibel, broke into the house. Deloach is said to have fired a round from a revolver he was carrying as the two were leaving. The bullet struck the victim’s car.

Anyone with information about Esquibel’s location can call the Sheriff’s Office at (850) 892-8111 or call Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 863-TIPS. Submit a tip online at www.emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com.

Tippers could be eligible for a cash reward.
