Anyone entering the holiday season with a loss heavy on their hearts, whether from a death, diagnosis/illness, or Hurricane Michael, is invited to join an ecumenical service of remembrance and healing at 11 a.m. Dec. 4 at Community Church in Santa Rosa Beach.
There will be an opportunity during the service for people, if they wish, to light a candle in remembrance of a loved one and/or to receive an anointing/prayer for healing for themselves or on behalf of someone else. There will be no sermon or communion, but the liturgy will be mostly scripture readings, prayers and music.
Please share this information with those in your congregation, circles, support groups who are grieving, ill, or heavily involved in hurricane relief. There will be light refreshments afterward. The pastors participating are from the Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, and Assembly of God traditions.
