PARKER — A Bay County stepmother has been arrested for allegedly stomping on a child’s face before spraying the juvenile in the face with carpet cleaner, according to arrest reports.

Johanna Michelle Grissom, 33, appeared in court Tuesday on a charge of aggravated child abuse.

She was arrested by the Parker Police Department after officers received word that the child, who was not identified, had been treated for wounds to its face at a hospital.

Grissom, stepmother of the child, had allegedly stomped on the child’s face at some point and then sprayed carpet cleaner into the child’s face, police reported.

Grissom was taken to the Bay County Jail. She recently posted a $25,000 bond in the case. Grissom was ordered to not have contact with the child outside of the Department of Children and Families supervision.
