DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — Additional suspects are being sought by law enforcement after a gun used in a February accidental shooting was reported stolen.

According to a press release from the Walton County Sheriff's Office, the search stems from an incident on Feb. 11 when deputies were called to Josephene Street in DeFuniak Springs in response to a juvenile who had been shot. Witness testimony determined the victim was shot in the both thighs while standing near a vehicle. The victim was taken to a local hospital and recovered from his wounds.

During a follow-up investigation, deputies discovered the gun used in the shooting matched the description of a firearm stolen from a home off Roberts Drive the day before. In addition to stolen firearms, ammunition, a credit card and liquor were also stolen during the burglary. Five firearms have been recovered, the release said.

Darius Tyrell Wingate, 14, is charged with armed burglary and grand theft of a firearm. Muhammed Amin Robinson, 16, is charged with armed burglary and grand theft of a firearm. Jade Ruth Marie Horner, 18 is currently being sought for the principal to armed burglary and grand theft of a firearm, the Sheriff's Office said.
