A Florida man may have set a record, after reeling in a 98.85-pound mystic grouper on Monday, clickorlando.com reported.

Bryan Joyner was aboard the Hot Rod with boat captain Josh Bessett at Sunrise Marina in Port Canaveral, the Port tweeted.

Joyner joins an all-star group of Florida men catching big fish, among other things.

Remember when that one Florida man caught the granddaddy of all catfish: a 120-pounder on the Choctawhatchee River?

“I was shocked. I didn’t think I could get him in the boat,” Joel Singletary told the Northwest Florida Daily News. “The adrenaline took over.”

Then there was that 11-foot sawfish caught off of the Juno Beach Pier in Palm Beach County.

“It took 45 minutes to get it to the beach when we finally saw that it was a ‘saw,’” Florida man Andrew Dereniuk said.

What about the Florida man who made headlines for his iguana hunts? The Cape Coral man claim he could catch at least 50 iguanas during one hunt, leading locals to applaud his efforts to rid the Southwest Florida city of the invasive species, the Palm Beach Post reported.

And don’t forget about the Florida veterinarian who made tiny floaties for the leafy sea dragons at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. It's hard not to enjoy a Florida man tale.
