Enjoy a cultural adventure at 5 p.m. Thursday during the Plew Elementary School Evening of the Arts.
Students exhibit their art, and there will be a silent auction. The Ruckel Middle School and Plew choruses and bands perform.
The evening is free and open to the public, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Dinner can be purchased from area food trucks, which will park at the school.
The funds raised by the Evening of the Arts supports the school’s arts program.
Music teacher Eddie Steadman and the Eglin Elementary School third-graders will present their "Informance Performance" at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
On April 30, the fourth-graders will participate in the Carnegie Hall Linkup at Northwest Florida State College.
Students seeking assistance with math may reserve a tutor for Saturday, offered by the Rocky Bayou Christian Academy’s Mu Alpha Theta Club free tutorial program.
Held from 8-11:30 a.m. in the Room 555 in the Saxon Building in Niceville, student tutors will take their students through basic math up to Advanced Placement calculus. Keep in mind: These tutors are competitive-winning mathematicians.
The service is free. Reservations are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Bring textbooks, past tests and quizzes.

The Veterans Heritage Project has scheduled a book signing and community reception at 2 p.m. Saturday in Building 400 of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.
This is part of the trademarked Connecting Students With Veterans, an organization dedicated to honoring veterans, preserving history and developing future leaders.
The stories of 13 veterans, interviewed by Niceville High School students, are included in the book that is to be released.
Retired Lt. Col Samuel Lombardo, U.S. Army veteran of the Battle of the Bulge and the Korean War, will present the keynote speech.
