DESTIN — A Fort Walton Beach woman was arrested after authorities found multiple drugs at her residence.

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies had developed information that 29-year old Stephannie MacNew was using a Destin condo to store, package, and distribute narcotics. On Monday afternoon, deputies with the OCSO Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant for the condo.

During the search, deputies found a grocery bag on a nightstand in the master bedroom. Inside of the bag were two gallon-sized Ziploc bags of meth and a gallon-sized plastic bag of heroin. Approximately 2,000 grams of methamphetamine and 87 grams of heroin were found in the condo.

Packaging materials and digital scales were also found in the residence. A lease agreement with Macnew’s name and other identifying documents were found inside.

Macnew was not at the condo at the time the search began, but later arrived while authorities were still on scene. She was then arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin and methamphetamine.
