The family's two dogs and two cats did not make it; otherwise, one resident suffered minor burns.

VILLA TASSO — A Saturday fire destroyed multiple structures at a County Line Road location, authorities say.

Just before 5:30 a.m. Walton County 911 received a call about a house fire and dispatched Walton County Sheriff's Office personnel and Walton County Fire Rescue.

When they arrived, first responders found flames coming from a two-story wood frame home.

"The fire had also engulfed a single-wide trailer and a shed at the rear of the property and was threatening a nearby travel trailer that the residents lived in part-time," Fire Rescue said in a press release.

Walton County and North Bay Fire District worked to extinguish the flames. Meanwhile, a small brush fire broke out nearby and was quickly put out.

Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours. It was contained before destroying the travel trailer, but the trailer was severely damaged.

One resident suffered minor burns. The family's two dogs and two cats were killed in the fire.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time. The family is receiving help from the Red Cross.
