DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — A suspect in connection to a Walton County shooting was recently captured in Jackson County.
According to information provided by the DeFuniak Springs Police Department, 34-year-old Ishmeal Stevie Hodges was arrested Wednesday by troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol in Jackson County.
Hodges was a wanted suspect for allegedly firing at several people with a handgun Sept. 18 near Will Kelly Avenue, the department said.
He was located while troopers were serving a warrant on an unrelated case.
Hodges, who is currently at the Jackson County Jail, will eventually be taken back to Walton County. He faces charges including aggravated assault with a firearm, DFSPD said.
