Here Comes Santa Claus

Get in the winter spirit with Here Comes Santa Claus from 6-9 p.m. Nov. 30. Cheer Santa on as he makes his way to Baytowne and watch as he lights the Village tree. Enjoy face-painting, kids crafts, and a fireworks display.

Old Florida Holiday & Winter Market

The WaterColor Community Association will host the 12th annual Old Florida Holiday & Winter Market in WaterColor’s Town Center & Cerulean Park from 5-9 p..m. Nov. 30. This event is a holiday extravaganza complete with snow, carriage rides around the park, bonfires and s'mores, pictures with Santa, lighting of the tree, holiday music and a winter market full of gifts, sights, smells and tastes of the season. This event is open to WaterColor residents, guests and the public and is free of charge for attendees.

Annual South Walton Christmas Parade

Head to 30A for South Walton’s annual parade at 9 a.m. Nov. 30 beginning in Seagrove Beach and proceeding west to the town of Seaside. Meet Santa in town after the parade.

Photos with Santa Claus

Every Saturday Nov. 30-Dec. 21, Santa Claus will be visiting Grand Boulevard for photos from 2-4 p.m. Abrakadoodle Art Education and Parties will offer free, kid-friendly, holiday arts and crafts.

Wednesday Night Concert Series – Holiday Edition

Get in the winter spirit at the Village of Baytowne Wharf and listen to holiday classics with Valhalla Choir from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 4. Each concert will feature a festive choreographed light show and visits with Santa.

Each year Chef Jim Shirley provides free photos with Santa Claus to the community. This year the event will take place at North Beach Tortilla Co. across from The Bay restaurant at the foot of the 331 bridge in South Walton from 5:30-8 p.m. Dec. 3. Bring family and friends to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him your Christmas wishes, then enjoy Winter Wonderland (snow and all!) on the beach of NBTC.

Festival of Trees

Held annually at Grand Boulevard, the Festival of Trees showcases uniquely decorated Christmas trees from 12 local non-profits. The trees will remain on display through Christmas Day. Open to the public at no charge.

Every Christmas Story Ever Told

Join The REP Theatre on the tour of Every Christmas Story Ever Told! along 30A. Three REP actors take audiences on a wild ride in a condensed 40-minute version of the smash hit. Performances are free and will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 30 at Alys Beach Amphitheatre; 4 p.m. Nov. 30 at Seaside Amphitheatre; and 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at Watersound Origins.

Mainstage performances will be held at The REP Theatre in Seaside at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12-14, 18-23 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 15 and 20-23. Tickets are $30, $24 for REP members, and $20 for kids 12 and under. Visit LoveTheREP.com for tickets.

Christmas Reflections

Plans are set for the annual display of Christmas lights and holiday decorations around Circle Drive in historic DeFuniak Springs. City officials and citizen groups selected “Holiday Movies” as this year’s theme and have invested $97,000 to enhance visitors’ holiday experiences in both the historic downtown business district and adjacent Chipley Park. The holiday light show is held nightly through Dec. 31 beginning at the DeFuniak Springs Library at 3 Circle Drive. Entry fee is $3/person, ages 6 and under free. Season passes available for $35 and can be purchased at the gate at 3 Circle Drive or at City Hall, 71 U.S. Highway 90 West, DeFuniak Springs.

12 Nights of Lights

Enjoy a festive light show from 6-8 p.m. every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from Dec. 4-21 at the Village of Baytowne Wharf.

Horse-drawn Carriage Rides

Enjoy a free, horse-drawn carriage ride around the Town Center in Grand Boulevard from 5-8 p.m. Dec. 6-28 while faux snow falls on the Festival of Trees display in Grand Park. Emerald Coast Theatre Company’s Dickens Carolers will sing holiday carols between 5 and 7 p.m.

Café Thirty-A Christmas Charity Ball

Café Thirty-A presents its annual Christmas Charity Ball from 7-11 p.m. Dec. 6 at 3899 East Co. Hwy. 30A in Santa Rosa Beach. Enjoy a buffet and passed heavy hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a photo booth. Dress is black tie optional, and there will be a cash bar. A large silent auction and raffle will benefit Caring and Sharing of South Walton. Tickets are $75 and available at 850tix.com.

Grayt Holiday Market

Grayton Beer Company will host its Fourth Annual Grayt Holiday Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 7. In addition to vendors, the event will include festive craft beers as well as the local brewery’s year-round styles, an appearance by Santa at noon and food for purchase by Grayton Beer Brewpub. The Market will be held in tandem with the Taproom’s regularly scheduled Dog Days Are (R)over where patrons who bring in their dog receive 10% off their tab. The local brewery is currently accepting applications for local vendors, artists and merchants who are interested in selling their handmade goods during the event. A vendor fee of $50, along with the completed vendor application, is required in advance. All vendors are required to provide their own 6’ table. Brunch with Santa

Food For Thought Outreach will hold its first Brunch with Santa from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Food for Thought Outreach Full Circle Kitchen, 132 Market Street in Santa Rosa Beach. 100% of the proceeds will support FFT's work fighting child hunger in Walton and Okaloosa Counties. Brunch with Santa will include a special holiday craft area for children, along with holiday decor, music and photos with Santa. Tickets will also include brunch, provided by Maple Street Biscuit Company, along with bottomless mimosas, beer or cocktails. Season of Joy

The Ecumenical Choir of Walton County will present Season of Joy at St.Rita Catholic Church, 137 Moll Drive in Santa Rosa Beach, from 2:30-4 p.m. Dec. 8 and 7-8:30 p.m. Dec. 9. On Sunday the “Community Ukes” will also perform. Love Offering proceeds promote community outreach. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a canned item to share with those in need.

Merry Little Christmas Concert

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast's Second Annual Merry Little Christmas Concert, presented by Pizza by the Sea, will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Grayton Beer Taproom. Enjoy the sounds of the season with live music by Chris Alvarado, Jacob Mohr and Jessie Ritter. Get a head start on holiday shopping with a silent auction. Holiday Pops Concert

Sinfonia Gulf Coast presents its Holiday Pops Concert from 7:30-10 p.m. Dec. 13 at Village Baptist Church, 101 Matthew Blvd. in Destin. Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominated singer/actor of the stage and screen Matthew Morrison will be featured. He joins Sinfonia’s full orchestra for an evening of the most cherished holiday medleys, plus many of the songs that he has performed throughout his career including his role as Mr. Schuester on Fox’s musical comedy series, “Glee.” Tickets range from $29.50 to $55 per person, with student tickets $20. Slicing All the Way

Call to reserve your child's (ages 5 to 13) place for the first ever Slicing All the Way from 4-6:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at Southside Slice in Rosemary Beach. Santa's elves will be taking over and turning Southside Slice into their workshop wonderland, and will help each kiddo make their own Christmas pizza to enjoy. There will be fun games with prizes, letters to Santa, hot chocolate and presents from the elves. The ticket price is $28 (plus 7% tax) and there are limited spaces available. Baytowne on Ice hosts the fourth annual Ice Skating Extravaganza at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin. The event will feature two performances by Dylan David Moscovitch and Kristin Cowan. Both shows are free.
