DEFUNIAK SPRINGS— In the middle of Lake DeFuniak stood a brightly lit Christmas tree surrounded by a variety of cutouts and decorations on Friday.
The display was part of the annual Christmas Reflections, and the lights surrounding the lake and the Christmas tree could be seen reflected in the water.
Christmas Reflections kicked off Friday on DeFuniak Circle. The display will continue throughout the remainder of December.
Light viewers can take a walking, driving or horse-drawn carriage around the circle to see the decorative lights.
Rebekah Bridge, who volunteered at the display, said she enjoys taking her son around the circle to look at the lights.
"It’s absolutely beautiful the way they shine on the lake," Bridge said.
Another volunteer, Ellen Mayfield has been volunteering her time to decorating the lakeyard for 18 years.
"It’s been an incredible journey and one that my husband and I love," Mayfield said.
