Florida spring break 2022: Beach webcams show waves, crowds amid COVID pandemic
Blue skies, lots of beach, lots of sun. This time of year, Florida's a hot place for spring break — even during a pandemic.
- Most public beaches in Florida were briefly closed early on in the pandemic in March 2020
- Beaches closed under Gov. DeSantis' "safer at home" order, but were largely "open" a month later
- In 2022, with looser mask restrictions and COVID vaccines, why not spring break in Florida?
It's spring break season in Florida!
With almost 2,000 miles of coastline between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, Florida is home to some of the best beaches in the world, and many of them turn up on a variety of annual "Best Beaches" lists (more on that below).
Several cameras are positioned along beaches here, offering live video streams and photos that update every few minutes. Most of the beach cameras show waves, blue skies and, in some cases, lots of people.
What do the beaches here look like as we enter the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic? Take a look at our Florida beach webcam guide.
