Topsail tour: Watch the sun set on the beach and enjoy a twilight hike through the park from 6:45-9 p.m. at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Wear closed toed shoes, bring some water, and wear some bug spray. Call 267-8330.

Sunday, Aug. 30

Beach Service: Worship at the beach with Hope Lutheran Church from 8-9 a.m. at Ed Walline Regional Beach Access across on Scenic Hwy. 30A in Santa Rosa Beach. Bring a towel, chair, or stand on the boardwalk. The service will be held at the church’s U.S. 98 campus during inclement weather and if the temperature is below 50 degrees. Call 267-0322.

Groovin’ On The Green: The Carillon Beach Institute presents a free concert with The Rowdies from 7-9 p.m. at the Village Green. Food and beverage vendors will be on site.

Farmers Market: The WaterColor Coastal Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cerulean Park. Traditional Farmers Market items such as local farm fresh produce, eggs, and dairy products will be available. There will also be a large variety of organic and homemade items such as Greek gourmet foods, hot and jerk sauces, grass fed beef, chicken, and pork.

Dueling Piano Show: Known for its entertaining “dueling” piano players and audience interaction, Rum Runners Dueling Piano Bar in Baytowne Wharf has a live show at 8 p.m.

Shipwrecked: The Rep presents Shipwrecked, an amazing story of bravery, survival and celebrity with flying wombats, giant sea turtles and a monstrous man-eating octopus, at 7:30 p.m. in the Seaside Meeting Hall Theatre in Seaside. For tickets, visit

Free Pre-K Screening: Children ages 3-5 years who are not enrolled in public school or Head Start are invited to participate in a free developmental screening to check speech/communication, learning, social/behavior, motor skills, vision, and hearing. Schedule includes Sept. 2, Oct. 8 and Nov. 4 at Butler Elementary in Santa Rosa Beach and Sept. 3, Oct. 7 and Nov. 5 at Pre-K Center/MS Elementary in DeFuniak Springs.
