Saturday, Nov. 15

Community Clean Up Day: Dumpsters will be provided for Walton County residents to dump trash, yard debris, tires, appliances, and other miscellaneous items at the clean up day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Legion Park on Ponce de Leon Street in Miramar Beach. Recycling trailers will also be available for newsprint, glass, and aluminum. Do not bring   poisons, pesticides, paints, thinners, gasoline, and other flammables.

Book sale: The Friends of the Walton County/DeFuniak Springs Library will hold a book sale from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Walton County Fairgrounds, 790 State Rte 83 North in DeFuniak Springs. Proceeds will be used to provide new books and other materials not currently covered by the library budget.

ArtWalk on the Harbor: Local and regional artists and vendors display their work at ArtWalk on the Harbor from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. from HarborWalk Village to AJ’s. The event is free.

Monday, Nov. 17

Painting class: Pastel artist Melody Bogle will teach classes in pastel painting from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Nov. 17 and from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 18 at the Bayou Arts Center, 105 Hogtown Bayou Lane in Santa Rosa Beach. ECMS: The Emerald Coast Meditation Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. at 480 N. County Hwy. 393 in Santa Rosa Beach. Anita Kurz, a fitness instructor for 30 years, will present “Meditation in Motion” and lead the group in the eight essential movements, a form of Chi Kung.
