The Market Shops at the entrance to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort presents the free Snowbird Sunday Concert Series with Ron Adams “Shadow of the King” & The Memphis Echoes from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 14 on the lawn. Bring chairs and blankets. In the event of rainy weather, the concert will be relocated to the covered patio outside of Bijoux at The Market Shops.

Gumbo Festival: The 27th Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival will be held from 12-4 p.m. at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Cost is $20/advance and $30/day of. Sample a variety of gumbo and vote for your favorite as the “People’s Choice” winner. Celebrity judges will name the “Area’s Best” and award the most creative set-up as “Best Display.” Gulf Coast's restaurants will be featured along with live music and children’s activities. Valentine Tour of Homes: The annual Valentine Tour of Homes presented by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 and 12-4 p.m. Feb. 14 showcasing stunning interiors, architecturally acclaimed homes and picturesque settings. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event, valid for the entire weekend with one entry per house. Classical concert series: Valentine’s Day performance of Mozart’s Requiem with the Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus at 3 p.m. All concerts are free and open to the public at Christ the King, 480 N. County Hwy. 393 in Santa Rosa Beach.

Wedding Vow Renewals: A tropical re-union wedding vow renewal ceremony is a unique present to give your spouse for Valentine’s, and it’s free. Couples can renew their wedding vows at a 2 p.m. ceremony at LuLu’s restaurant in Destin. Hurricane Jane, an ordained minister and a member of the Parrott Heads club, will officiate. Arrive a little early to settle in and stay for the fun.

Tuesday, Feb. 16

Workshops: The Walton County Tourist Development Council will hold Public Space Design Workshops from 4-8 p.m. Feb. 16 and 17 at the South Walton Annex. The workshop will provide a forum to generate input from stakeholders on a book of general design guidelines for public space in south Walton County. The workshop will be led by a team of landscape architects and planners from the R-A-M Professional Group of Jacksonville and local urban designer/architect, Mark Schnell.

Evening with the Heart Experts: Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast will host an evening with the experts featuring cardiology and vascular health from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Mitchell’s Fish House in Miramar Beach. Guest speakers include board-certified cardiologists Dr. Charles Mayes, Dr. Angel Morrobel, and Dr. Stephen Phlaum. Complimentary blood pressure screenings will be available to guests.
