1. Northwest Florida Ballet

The Northwest Florida Ballet opens its 49th season with "A Midsummer Night's Dream," a free outdoor performance in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin's Grand Park, at 7 p.m. Oct. 13.

2. Rockin' on the Lawn (cancelled until later date)

The charity music festival Rockin’ on the Lawn will be held from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village, 4323 Commons Drive W in Destin. The event, benefiting South Walton Academy, will feature the Luke Langford Band, Atlas Lost, Catalyst, and more. Enjoy music, bounce houses, face painting, food and beverages. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and pack a cooler. No pets or drones allowed. Tickets are $12.24 - $22.49 at www.eventbrite.com.

3. The Allman Goldflies Band Goes Pops (postponed until Oct. 27)

Southern rock and blues meets classical and jazz in a free concert at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at Founders Pavilion, 1980 Discovery Loop in Panama City. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy this mix of music with the Allman Goldflies Band backed by the POPS Orchestra, conducted by Destin’s David Ott.
